My lineage is Mexican-American, Irish, German, and Apache Native-American. My connection with plants and nature took root in the oak trees, streams, and green hills of California in Spring. My first conscious meditation was watching a bee go from flower to flower. Something potent had shifted in my awareness and I could feel it! As I grew older I began to study holistic healing approaches like plant-based nutrition, herbal medicine, yoga and meditation, as well as, nature healing. I found nature to be my greatest teacher, source of peace and also inspiration.

I have always been a writer and hold an english degree and environmental studies minor. After my undergraduate studies I became certified as a holistic health coach, kundalini yoga teacher, and went to school for a master’s degree in counseling psychology at an experimental graduate school. There I learned expressive arts as a healing modality and how to connect with different aspects of self like (IFS) and different parts of the body for greater understanding and integration. These experiences served as great personal healing tools and serve me in bringing presence, depth, gentleness, and a variety of tools to various work environments and clients.

I have also studied plants and garden design for several years to support ecological restoration and create sanctuary spaces in urban settings.

I have worked with non-profits, artists, families, and businesses to support healing and growth in both inner and outer landscapes.
